It's your own fault, if you're better Can anyone of the IBU give me an convincing explanation about the point of deleting results? I have been wondering about that for years now, but unfortunately I only met people that don't understand either. Deleting results ALWAYS put a disadvantage on the better one. It's for the second time in Sven's career, that Sven was cheated of the most important award in biathlon - the overall World Cup - merely accademically, because he had to delete better results than his competitor. Ey?!?! Is that fair?! Please don't misunderstand me: it's not that I begrudge Ole Einar Bjørndalen the overall World Cup! He's a great biathlete and would he have done all the races, probably no one else could have taken the Cup. But he didn't. That's why he definitely achieved less points than Sven. I have vo problem in accepting that other athletes are better and gain more points because of that. But I definitely have a problem with injustice and arbitrariness. Sven didn't lose the World Cup because he fell ill. That was a shame, but no one is to blame about that. Sven lost the World Cup, because the IBU makes the better one a looser due to deleting results. I wonder why nobody takes that as his theme. Lots of reporters and commentators, together with co-commentators and experts do comments and judgements on everythin and everyone. But no one seems to object to the more than questionable subject of deleting points under duress. Why? Am I really the only person who thinks this procedure is unfair? Actually I take a personal interest to inform Sven's fans in an objective way. I don't want to indoctrinate anyone. That's why I usually keep my opinion to myself, but today I really had to take the pressure off me... Isabel
